Yemen warns: Israeli airports are no longer safe
Yemen’s armed forces have warned that Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport will no longer be safe for flights if the Israeli offensive and blockade on Gaza continues. Yemeni military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sari made the warning in a statement on Saturday. General Sari claimed that Yemen launched a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile at Ben Gurion Airport in the Israeli-occupied Jaffa region. This was the third missile attack on the airport in the past 48 hours and the operation successfully hit its target, he said. He also noted that the attack was carried out “in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their courageous resistance.”
In addition, Yemen has carried out drone attacks on US Navy warships in the Red Sea for the past six days, especially those associated with the USS Harry S. Truman. The military spokesman said the attack was in response to the ongoing US aggression on Yemen and efforts to suppress Yemeni support for the Palestinian cause.
Yemen launched counterattacks on Israeli and US targets after a two-month ceasefire collapsed and Israeli attacks on Gaza resumed. The ceasefire was reportedly not renewed due to Israel’s refusal to agree.
